5ire is a fifth-generation blockchain ecosystem, built from the ground up with the United Nation’s sustainable development goals in mind. 5ire includes 5ireChain, the world’s first sustainable blockchain; 5ire VC, 5ire’s venture capital arm; and 5ire Labs, 5ire’s research and development hub. 5irechain aims to become the first layer-1 protocol to develop a sustainable and for-benefit ecosystem based on the sustainable development goals (SDG) defined by the UN. 5ireChain is a blockchain ecosystem for Impact & SDG-related development, management, and investment, with a network of working groups, collectives, and DAOs to help accelerate the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The 5IRE network aims to bring a paradigm shift from a for-profit to a for-benefit. It will implement sustainability for design while ensuring interoperability, forkless upgradeability, scalability, strong security guarantees, democracy & governance. Their proposed consensus mechanism considers sustainability as one of the most important components of the consensus mechanism. Other than sustainability we also aim to curtail favouritism or cartelization in the proof of stake consensus mechanism where nodes can delegate their stake or nominate the nodes of their choice, which helps these nodes being selected for the creation of blocks.

We hosted an AMA session with 5ire Chain on 22nd June.

5ire envisions a future where the ecosystem is restructured as sovereign heterogeneous shards of a global network of connected chains — achieving true horizontal and vertical scalability that single chains can never achieve. It assures openness, unity of purpose, and inclusivity. Thus, shaping the ethics of business and collaborations toward sustainability while providing a cross-chain environment, plus advanced governance & rewarding mechanisms

Pratik Gauri (Co-founder & CEO) is s Serial social entrepreneur, investor, public speaker and writer creating 5th Industrial Revolution and championing UN SDGs.

Prateek Dwivedi (Co-founder & CMO) is a Blockchain enthusiast, investor and veteran Internet Marketer. He conceptualized the proprietary 5IRE consensus mechanism and reward protocols.

Vilma Mattila (Co-founder & CBO) is a Venture Capitalist & Futurist. She has Incubated 40+ Projects including Qtum, Tron & Aleph Zero. She is also an Advisor at the EU Blockchain Observatory.

All these with their experiences in their fields have shaped 5ire,
and lead us to where we are right now

It is not just a utility token but an ecosystem of blockchain solutions that organically grow to become a multi-chain realm for building the 5th industrial revolution, investors are assured of their inclusivity in the ecosystem by getting rewarded for each active participation they provide to the ecosystem, while Proof of 5ire assure to reward validators nodes based on their sustainability best practices.

Meanwhile. let me share the tokenomics with you

The 5IRE utility token serves as a central unit of staking and exchange. These tokens are used for governance, staking, and other network utilities.

Economics: 5ireChain will mint or burn tokens to fund the treasury, control the inflation rate, or reward the nodes that run the consensus protocol.

Slashing: Tokens also play a role in the slashing protocols designed to disincentivize attacks or adversarial behaviors.

Incentivized distributed data storage (IPFS): 5ire tokens are used in the incentive mechanism of nodes, as per data storage.

Incentivized data exchange & analytics: 5ire network provides data exchange and pricing marketplaces for data providers & consumers.

It began with Co-founder Pratik Gauri who has been working in impact sector for several years, making people aware about a for-benefit economy — where profits and benefits co-exist. Prateek Gauri met cofounders Prateek Dwivedi and Vilma Matilla, and after months of research, came up with the idea of 5ireChain — to reach and impact more than 1+ billion people and built the 5th Industrial Revolution.

And pratik gauri and prateek dwivedi discussed all of this at a tea shop in New delhi, India

As for the roadmap and vision

We are building on the same, currently calculating and creating methods to rate companies with ESG scores and ranking them according to their sustainability promotion level

We’re also building to solve the current trilemma in the blockchain space

with unique innovations at every point

The private network is already live for select individuals and the public testnet + mainnet will be live by Q3 2022

On your website, I saw the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) of the UN. Can you explain to us how 5ire relates to the SGD and what role it plays?

Astha Singh:
5ire’s mission is to accelerate the implementation of the United Nations 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

5irechain will work on the tokenization of the 17 SDGs and bringing them on-chain for the purpose of making the for-benefit paradigm more promising by taking advantage of the 5irechain transparency and accountability features and the sustainable reward distribution.

5ireChain intends to be the leading blockchain ecosystem to solve sustainability issues with its core technology, “Proof of 5ire”, which integrates sustainability & social impact at the consensus mechanism level by economically rewarding companies for their sustainable practices.

Thereby, leading the 5th Industrial Revolution where bringing sustainability and support for the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) is more profitable than acting against this paradigm. Thus achieving and motivating sustainable actions, by design.
