Apex Doodles is a NFT project that allows fans to follow Oscar Joyce on his Formula 4 journey. An up-and-coming Formula racer, Oscar Joyce combines two of his passions through the Apex Doodles NFT project: Art and racing. The artist and British kart championship driver Oscar Joyce is funding his way through the formula ranks and wants to build a community along the way. The initial Apex Doodles Genesis collection allows us to go further in karting & start testing in Formula 4, comprising 280 artworks that will make up his actual racing car livery.
We hosted an AMA session with Apex Doodles on 31st August.

1. Make a concise and brief introduction about Apex Doodles. How it is playing its role in Web3 World?
OJ:
Apex doodles is the first project to take real-life motor racing and merge NFT art into motorsport. This allows a driver like myself to get further up the ladder within motorsport using a brand-new self-funding model that we have created.It also allows for the community around the project the NFT project to become more immersed and see how the project develops and where it is being used within the real world

2. What are the features of Apex Doodles that makes it superior and special as compared to its competitors?
OJ:
Firstly a driver has never done something like this before where a community around them gets to see what is actually happening and the steps that drivers take in the build-up to a race and how they feel about the racing, etc.Secondly with the NFT there are special ones that allow people to experience just more than owning an NFT and become more involved within my career and take part in once in a lifetime experiences that people would never usually do.
For example, a few of the higher tier NFTs get you a special one-on-one session with me where you’ll learn how to race. Other NFTs get you a free access code to the F1 Championship video game. 3. How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?
OJ:
Starting off it was just an idea with me and my dad and eventually we formed a team around the project and yeah it’s been great we’ve done really well we’ve had a few ups and downs with learning especially with me and my dad being complete newbies to the whole community but you know it’s been really good.For racing updates, make sure to follow the Apex Doodles Twitter and my personal TikTok:

5. What Apex Doodles achieved so far and what important updates and developments we’ll get in coming future in Your Ecosystem?
OJ:
We’ve sparked an interest within the Racing community and I’ve had a lot of positive feedback from other drivers and other racing teams about my idea of a new funding model. It’s a funding model that can give drivers more control over their careers, rather than having to rely on sponsors and advertisers.As you all may know, sports are expensive and it creates a barrier to entry. I want to show how NFTs can be used to solve the funding issue for promising young athletes. In the future I hope to take more drivers and other athletes from different sports under my wing with Apex Doodles and allow them to get to the top of the game in the sports.

1)I read that, @apexdoodles is an motorsport project. I would like to know if thier is any metaverse plans?I see the metaverse as being the evolution of the third place that is our pre-existing digital life. So, ignoring metaverse as an income source may seem weird.don’t you think?
OJ:
Completely, I don’t think that we will ignore it to put it that way, but we will definitely be looking to try new things and develop more initiative and new way to fund me and others throughout the project !!Do note we’ll be doing livestreams and offering access to gaming platforms through our NFTs.
We may consider metaverse events in the future and that could include metaverse meet-ups, driving lessons in the metaverse, metaverse seats for race events…None of this is finalized or in the roadmap yet. But we are considering and talking about it.

2)Do you allow suggestions and feedback from the community? Are we allowed in decision making, do you put community into consideration ?
OJ:
Yes, definitely with the community playing the role of helping me move up the motorsport ladder further, they need to have their opinions and ideas listened to, the whole thought process behind the project is to try and build a relationship with the people that are helping to fund athletes to get further into there sport.

3)NFT space is flooded with low quality NFTs,making it hard for collectors, users to find the art they really want. How will you be able to give users high quality NFTs? What will it be consider as high quality on #ApexDoodles & how will you determine what NFTs are worth?
OJ:
High quality, is the whole project, it comes with racing it itself, with racing everything from a lap time to a single piece on a motorcar has to be built to perfection, putting this into the nft without it being crafted the same way would be silly because, we want our community as mentioned earlier to feel as though they are part of a journey, so there won’t be a need to determine quality.Plus, I’m the driver and the artist behind the project. The NFTs are connected to real-life and are much more than digital art. These NFTs represent your membership in the Apex Doodles community and support of my racing journey. They also come with exclusive experiences and perks, such as driver coaching.

4)What is the most ambitious goal of your project? What is the main vision that your project wants to achieve in the market cap market? I would appreciate it if you could share with us upcoming updates?
OJ:
The biggest ambition of the project would be for me to secure a stable place within racing and continue doodling, but not just for myself and expand the project to a range of different sports and be helping other athletes to reach there aim and goal’s within there sport to show the world that the nft space can get rid of the current cap in most sports which is money.‘If we succeed with this NFT funding and community building model, we can revolutionize how drivers and athletes fund and approach their careers. No longer will money prevent people from pursuing their racing or sports dreams.’

According to the roadmap, what is your most important next priority? Do you have enough funds and strong community to achieve the goal??
OJ:

You said that at ApexDoodles, our NFTs are your gateway to fan experiences and even the racetrack. Can you explain how fans can use your NFT for a different experience? How unique and valuable is your NFT? How do users buy this NFT? Will you have NFT Marketplace?
OJ:
Well, the NFT’s are a ticket to my career and the project in a whole, later down the line we want to make it accessible for everyone to see the work in real life and get a new view on a nft, The NFT’s are all of value whether its a lower tier one or higher, some come with exclusive things as mentioned higher up, such as a personal racing league and other perks such as a discord, They are live to to be bought yet but they will go for sale on open sea https://opensea.io/collection/apexdoodles

🦋💜You say “a financing model that can give drivers more control over their races, instead of having to rely on sponsors and advertisers” Do you currently have investors? Do you plan to attract investors in the future and to whom?
💚You mentioned in an interview: “NFTs have to offer value in the real world, combining the digital and the physical to create change in the real world.” Future plans to enter the metaveso?
OJ:
Currently No I don’t have an investor, we are self funded at the moment, and the whole idea behind the project is to try and move away from the idea of investors who may pull out at any moment in an athletes career and instead offer a model that allows the driver or athlete to grow within themselves over time, With some of the Nft’s in the current collection there are real life face to face perks with this, such as a driver coaching day with me, but as said before we look to move into the metaverse space and look at how we can use that space for online events, such as driver coaching etc !!
4) Nightmare:
Can you please Elaborate this “Genesis holders will have permanent and immutable access to all future Apex Doodles projects as we advance through the ranks to Formula 1” what is the perks of having a permanent and immutable access to all future Apex Doodles projects?
OJ:
There are many perks to following and being part of the project, as myself I hope to move up the ladder into motorsport, as you move up and the event’s become larger it means that tickets can be given to early and later investors to come and watch the events and see there nft in person, furthermore with our ambition to get more athletes onboard, from motorsport to whatever the future brings, there community’s will always have away of contacting the athlete and feel as though they are part of the journey, another problem it looks to solve especially with drivers who get further up the ladder is you can never get through to the driver themselves due to them having social media teams who just block out everything, where apex allows for the supporters and the community to have direct links to the athlete for ideas or even praise, done through live streams in the discord and Q and A’s
5) What is your strongest advantage that you think will make your team leading the market?
OJ:
That an NFT project has never been used to fund an athletes career, It opens a new door within the NFT community allowing the work to be seen through a new angle and shows that the NFT space can be used for something different, also building a community around the athlete to have communication with there fans and allow them to see side of a sport which they normally wouldn’t see !!!!
