Avalanche is an open-source platform for launching decentralized applications and enterprise blockchain deployments in one interoperable, highly scalable ecosystem. Avalanche is the first decentralized smart contracts platform built for the scale of global finance, with near-instant transaction finality. Avalanche features 3 built-in blockchains: Exchange Chain (X-Chain), Platform Chain (P-Chain), and Contract Chain (C-Chain). All 3 blockchains are validated and secured by the Primary Network. The Primary Network is a special subnet, and all members of all custom subnets must also be a member of the Primary Network by staking at least 2,000 AVAX.
Avalanche is a high-performance, scalable, customizable, and secure blockchain platform. It targets three broad use cases:
– Building application-specific blockchains, spanning permissioned (private) and permissionless (public)
deployments.
– Building and launching highly scalable and decentralized applications (Dapps).
– Building arbitrarily complex digital assets with custom rules, covenants, and riders (smart assets).
Avalanche is a high throughput smart contract blockchain platform. Validators secure the network through a proof-of-stake consensus protocol. It is said to be fast, low cost, and environmental friendly. Mainnet was launched in September 21, 2020. Since then, the platform has grown to secure over 100+ individual projects, $1.4M+ of AVAX burned (reducing supply), 950+ individual block-producing validators, and over 500k+ community members around the globe. Decentralized finance (DeFi) applications can be found on Avalanche such as Pangolin, TraderJoe and Benqi. While popular games on Avalanche includes Crabada.

We hosted an AMA session with Avalanche on 6th June.

Mr. Ramsy was the host from Crypto Miners and Miss Kuen was the guest. She shared delightful knowledge and unique features of Avalanche.

Segment 1️⃣: Introduction

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Hey everyone 👋 and welcome to the Crypto Miners AMA session With Avalanche

To help us learn more about the featured project of this AMA session, we are lucky to be joined By Miss Kuen Shahi

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Hi, Ramsy

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Hello kuen 👋

Kuen Sh∀hi:
It’s a pleasure to be here :)

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Welcome here

Thanks for bringing Us Avalanche❤️

Kuen Sh∀hi:
🔥🔥

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
How are you doing today mate?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
I am doing perfectly fine.

What about you?

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Cool

I’m doing great 🤝

Kuen Sh∀hi:
awesome

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
I’m pretty sure that our Community is very much excited to learn more about Avalanche ✌️

So let’s get started if you’re ready!!

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Indeed

I am all ready

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
First of all Please give us a brief explanation about Avalanche?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
First I would like to give a short introduction of myself for those who don’t know me. I am Community Manager of Avalanche India and I have been supporting Avalanche from the very initial day.

Now coming to the question Avalanche is a layer 1 blockchain that gives access to launch decentralized finance (DeFi) applications and deploy blockchains that fit your own application needs. Avalanche is capable of performing thousands of transactions per second and has minimal transaction fees. Also , Avalanche consumes the same amount of energy as only 46 US households per year. In total Avalanche is blazingly fast, low cost, and green.) And that is what make Avalanche unique.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Thanks Kuen for this awesome start 👌

Now let’s see our second question from this segment

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Sure!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
2)Among many Projects, Avalanche’s achievement is not easy. How did Avalanche manage this in such a competitive market?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Avalanche has strong fundamentals and with the Avalanche Consensus protocols which was the next big breakthrough in consensus protocols, combining the benefits of Nakamoto consensus (robustness, scale, decentralization) and all the benefits of Classical consensus (speed, quick finality, and energy efficiency) has made it stand ahead of others

Avalanche has many features like
1. Security
2. Performance
3. Decentralisation
4. Customization
5. Tokenomics

You can read more about this in an informative article written by one of the Avalanche supporter- https://cryptoseq.medium.com/what-sets-avalanche-apart-from-other-blockchains-3c5f4a4c0889

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
3) So what are your main features and advantages that discern you from other projects?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
As I mention in the above question that Avalanche has these amazing features and advantages. But something that Avalanche can offer different are Subnets (which I guess we will be able to discuss in depth further)

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
4) What is Avalanche current focus and what is the future plans for Avalanche?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Avalanche current focus in on making the ecosystem accessible to all with the help of subnets. Subnets in total will help with smooth functioning of a particular project on Avalanche with low gas fee and help users with smooth and easy access

The plan in near future is to launch Core Browser Extension & Mobile Wallet built for Avalanche, Subnets, and the next generation of Web3.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Alright, Let’s move to our last question from this segment

5)Can you provide an overview on what are Avalanche subnets?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
For Sure!

Avalanche was designed to be customizable, scalable, and interoperable. Everything on Avalanche is a subnet, and every chain is part of a subnet. Subnet allows Avalanche users to create and run their own blockchain networks, and it is very flexible.

A Subnet manages its own membership and it may require that its constituent validators have certain properties. This is very useful.

If you are interesting in knowing more about subnet then you may have a look at this doc- https://docs.avax.network/subnets/

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Thanks Kuen for this well detailed introduction about Avalanche:)

And that’s the wrap up of our the first part of the AMA session ✅

Kuen Sh∀hi:
🔥🔥

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Let’s now proceed to our Twitter Questions section

i hope you’re ready for that!!

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Yes ! I am all set

Segment 2️⃣: Twitter Questions

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
1) Do “#avalancheavax” have tutorial videos so we can get to know your project more clearly or do you have a YouTube channel or something? can you share it with us?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Yes Avalanche has it’s YouTube channel where you can get to know about Avalanche and its ecosystem better

Here you go - https://www.youtube.com/c/Avalancheavax

You can have a look at the videos shared in my YouTube channel as well

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
2) If we Talking about security, As we know Nobody can guarantee the security of Smart contract. But Audit play an important role in finding out the known bugs of smart contract. Can you tell us how strong ”AVALANCHEAVAX” security system? Have you done an audit by any third party before?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Yes, the code for the Avalanche Bridge, Warden, and Smart Contracts have been audited by Halborn. These extensive audit reports can be found here

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
3) I have seen from the website in various cases that any project is invited to apply for a grant with any project growing and collaborating. Can you give more information about Avalanche? What are the application procedures to be followed for implementation of projects?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
I have already told about Avalanche in the above questions

Let me talk a little about grants

For grants Avalanche foundation has launched:

*Avalanche Multiverse, an up to $290M (up to 4M AVAX) incentive program focused on accelerating the adoption and growth of its novel “subnet” functionality, which enables a rich ecosystem of scalable app-specific blockchains. Initially, the program is focused on supporting new ecosystems including, but not limited to, blockchain-enabled gaming, Defi, NFTs, and institutional use cases.

*Blizzard, an over $200M fund dedicated to accelerating development, growth, and innovation across the ecosystem of builders and users of the Avalanche public blockchain and beyond.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
4) How will #avalancheavax value it’s community? And, what are the ways that #avalancheavax can build a strong and supportive community for it’s forever success? And, how many communities does #avalancheavax currently have for its non-english users?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
nice question

Community is huge for Avalanche, especially the developer community. Since mainnet launch in September 2020, the team has been focused on building out resources for devs. Making sure that it’s the best and easiest experience to build on Avalanche.

Build out the Discord community: https://chat.avax.network (we have currently 50k members )
Dev docs: https://docs.avax.network
Developer-focused Forum: https://forum.avax.network

We also had an Avalanche Asia Hackathon recently.

Avalanche has currently 15+ local language groups. You can refer the groups here- https://www.avax.network/community

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
5) Do your project support the staking program? If yes. how is your stake system work, can you tell me what is the requirement for users if they want to stake in your platform?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Yes, you can stake on Avalanche by Delegating/ Validating

For staking, I would like you to look at our docs. It tells you everything you need to know: https://docs.avax.network/learn/platform-overview/staking

Just an additional information, when talking about nodes, Avalanche have around 1405~ validators worldwide. You can check how many there are in real-time: https://explorer.avax.network

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
That’s the wind up of our twitter question segment 🤝

Now Moving on to our last segment — Live Q&A

Shall We Go mate?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
For Sure!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
lets go,

Segment 3️⃣: Live QnA
(In this segment group was opened for 60 seconds and Miners sent hundreds of questions. Guest choose some best to answer)

1) Murthy Rajpaksha:
Why do you say that Subnets will help in smooth functioning of any project on your platform?
Can you please explain it more?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Subnets give the projects the ability to create their own blockchain on top of Avalanche and the project. It allows users to protect the entire Avalanche (AVAX) network from outages, collapses and fee spikes even during periods of high transactional pressure.

2) Moeen:
What has Avalanche done for Indian Community to Expand it in India?
How are You attracting Developers from this Community?
How Important will they be for Avalanche Community?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Avalanche had a workshop in IIT Roorkee where the students were given education about blockchain and Avalanche by the best developers in our team. We have online/ofline events where Avalanche participates in the speakers panel, hackathons and a lot more.

We will be having many more events in near future. To stay tuned follow Avalanche and Avalanche India socials.

As we all know India is full of talent in every field so in my opinion Avalanche would love to have these talented people in the ecosystem as well as in the team.

3) Elly ♂️:
I noticed that your transaction time is less than 2 sec, How is this possible, what is the technology behind it, can you please tell about that?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Avalanche fundamentals play a very important role in this also subnets. To know more have a look at the Avalanche docs- https://docs.avax.network/

4) Shinichi:
NFT is not only Trending and also popular! It Will Rule This Decade and New Innovations Begin. So, will #Avalanche launch NFT any time soon?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
Indeed NFTs are trending

Currently Avalanche doesnot have its own NFT project or marketplace perhaps you can have a look at

Kalao- https://t.co/fPblhxnZON
JoePeg- https://joepegs.com/home

5) Sarika:
Is it possible to integrate both permissioned and permissionless deployments on AVAX?

Kuen Sh∀hi:
The answer technically is both! Avalanche enables the creation of both permissionless and permissioned subnets. Anyone can use the AVAX token and launch a new subnet or validate an existing permissionless subnet. However, private deployments on Avalanche will remain permissioned. This hybrid architecture is what enables Avalanche to seamlessly connect all subnets together while giving the end-user complete control over his/her subnet.
