Q1) Can you give a brief explanation about 'Dante Network' .What popped up in your mind to create such a platform in This Space?

Murphy:
In one sentence, Dante Network is a data storage and dissemination network based on blockchain and cryptography technology with privacy, security and scalability.
The mission of Dante Network is to be a safe station in the free circulation of data assets. We aim to provide undifferentiated basic data management services for many public chain ecosystems, and together with other parties in the existing ecosystem, provide privacy and security protection for many participants in the cross-ecology in key links such as data transactions, storage, and calculations. Escort enables data owners to ensure their own data sovereignty, protect their own information privacy, and then obtain their due rights from the process of adding value to their own data.

Simply speaking, we could play an important role in Web3.0 as an infrastructure to provide secure data storage and data management service for individuals and other projects in a trusted cross-chain method who are going to generate a large volume of data in this big data era.

Murphy:
We could ensure the data sovereignty of data owners and protect their information privacy through combining blockchain tech with homomorphic encryption, secure multi-party computation, etc. We applied the hierarchical structure to combine the on-chain and off-chain frame, which ensures the system’s expansibility in the future. Dante Network could literally realize cross-chain application in the future by decoupling consensus layer and storage layer, which is a really exciting step!

and here I list some advantages that discern Dante Network from other projects.

●Cross-chain data storage service: It can seamlessly connect multi-chains, support the cross-chain docking of other public chain ecology, and to the ecological projects in public chains. Provides full-process, no-breakpoint protection, and comprehensively guarantees the privacy and security for the full life cycle in data storage

1) Privacy Storage Purchase: Users who have a strong demand for data sovereignty can obtain the privacy storage service provided by Dante Network by paying a certain DAT fee.
2) Community Governance: DAT holders can initiate proposals or vote on Dante Network by burning a small amount of DAT.
3) Validation Challenge: When a storage node is suspected of fraud, the validation node can challenge the storage node by staking DAT.
4) Staking: When a storage node provides storage services for Dante Network, it is required to stake a portion of DAT to ensure user data security.

4) So how long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? And what can we expect from Dante Network? If possible could you please share road map with us.

Murphy:
I think we are still in the early stages. Still need some time to go further. And our goals and missions are very clear, that we want to be a kind of infrastructure remaining in web3.0 for providing privacy storage service for different public chains.

Cross-chain is no longer a big deal, but since we want to build as infrastructure in web3.0, we want Dante Network to have a good generality in providing cross-chain storage, so it is not just as simple as deploying a cross-chain token contract. Cross-chain involves the original chain, target chain and off-chain bridge. Once it involves off-chain processes, it brings trust issues. Meanwhile, we need to ensure the atomicity of the on-chain executive process when it comes to the cross-chain operations on the business layer. This is a difficult point in our following stage to overcome. We are working on this, so don't worry.

l Carry out the research on verifiable storage technology based on Dante zero-knowledge proof in the second stage.
2022 Q2：
l Complete the development of the first batch of the cross-chain storage service for the current ecosystems, and launch the complete cross-ecosystem storage service to realize the undifferentiated cross-ecosystem storage data sharing.
l Mainnet launching.
2022 Q3：
l Complete the test of cross chain storage testnet that is based on verifiable computing on the second stage, and carry out the research on the privacy transaction technology on the third stage.

Segment 2️⃣: Twitter Questions

1)Dante Network is a data storage network. Are you products and services similar to what the popular decentralized storage project offers like Filecoin? What makes your products stands out among the rest of its competitors?

Murphy:
To be straight, we think the biggest difference between Dante and other competitors in storage is that Dante Network if more fit in decentralized application scenarios, which could be concluded into 2 aspects.

Firstly, in a decentralized scenario, individuals do not know each other, so it is an untrusted environment, therefore, you need to ensure 2 basic principles to make sure the data collaboration is carried on in an untrusted environment. One is to guarantee the privacy of users' information and digital assets, another is to ensure the verifiability of the data collaboration process like storage and computation. From the technical perspective, the privacy storage provided by Dante could protect users information and digital assets in a cryptographic method, which is based on the combination of Dante Zero-knowledge proof contract and privacy-preserving computation. Meanwhile, from the verifiability perspective, Dante also applies the decentralized verifiable computation infrastructure based on cryptography. These distinct Dante from other storage projects.

Secondly, Dante Network is also to combine AI into the future landing scenarios to better provide practical business use cases. From the perspective of application landing scenarios, the reason why data is called "crude oil" in the digital age is that it can drive the progress and development of AI. Therefore, the most striking application point of storing data at present and in the future should be the combination with AI.

2) As far as I know, strong supporters and partners in the crypto market can bring such huge value to new projects. In the meantime, can you disclose some of the project’s investors and partners? Do you plan to establish more strategic partnerships in the future?

Murphy:
We are now partnering with NEAR Protocol. NEAR is a high performance public chain.The NEAR Protocol makes building and deploying DApps and protocols easier, faster, and cheaper than any other blockchain, which could support Dante cross-chain privacy storage building to launch faster and smoother. And NEAR also provides the infrastructure for projects to deploy and test the contract for developers. Additionally, during our negotiating process, NEAR shows their comprehensive review about the project in every aspect and full support to build on their net. We are excited to work with NEAR. And Dante Network is dedicated to provide decentralized cross-chain privacy storage service for any users that require data storage service in Web3.0. As for the following plan, the cross-chain implementation will be the point as we mentioned above.

Dante Network will be implemented as an ecological project in NEAR ecosystem to provide data management services with privacy protection for the NEAR public chain and all projects that belong to the ecosystem.
The on-chain part of Dante Network includes ERC-20 contracts, cross-chain Token flow contracts, storage business contracts clusters (including order transactions and storage verification contracts), cross-chain storage incentive contracts, and Dante privacy contracts deployed on the NEAR. The off-chain part includes Dante node processes that join the network as request node, challenge node, storage node, and cross-chain node respectively. The part implemented as a combination of on-chain and off-chain includes cross-chain interaction contracts cluster, Dante verifiable contracts, and a cross-chain trusted cross-chain data bridge based on this implementation.

Moreover, we now make some progress to collaborate with famous universities. For example, a few months ago, we made an agreement with Xiamen University, top 30 university in China, to build a Joint Laboratory of Information Security and Data Science. Together, we will work on storage transactions and verification based on Zero-Knowledge Proof, and confidential verification of storage tasks. This lab will also carry on research on off-chain privacy data exchange. Later, Dante group will develop the overall frame and implement all the findings into our network to achieve usability and offer private data storage.

3) What is the minimum and maximum storage capacity one can access on your platform?Do you have a backup Incase of shortage?

Murphy:
The actual storage capacity is provided by the storage nodes that participate in the network in a decentralized method. Therefore, Dante Networks overall storage capacity is decided by the providers’ supply. And as for backup mechanism, users could set their request through the storage transaction order of Dante according to their needs. Users can select the backup quantity of their data according to the importance of their data.

4) Can you explain how is your Tokenomics Distribution? How many tokens Will be minted ? And How many tokens Will be locked by the team?

Murphy:
The pie chart of our tokenomics distribution I showed above. When we observe a large number of blockchain projects, we can find a phenomenon that the more fair the distribution rules are, the more sustainable and stable the operation will be. Therefore, Dante network will adopt the strategy of "fair distribution according to contribution" to distribute tokens to the people who have value for the project construction as much as possible.

The total supply of $DAT is 1 billion. The team part and private sale part will have a strict unlock schedule and percentage, which will be demonstrated in our economic whitepaper later. 60% will be the mining part. Kvanace foundation supports developers committed to Dante network and will use a total of 70 million $dats to support development, scientific research and other purposes. And the community part will share 80 million $DAt. This part will be rewarded to Dante network participants by hackathon, developer incentive, content contributors, funding Dante Dao's early development, etc.

5) Security is one of the most important thing in cryptocurrency in my opinion, is that the most priority of @DanteNetwork ? or the priority balace with scalability?

Murphy:
In fact, we make some compromises to deal with the blockchain Trilemma. We know the trilemma is scalability, decentralization and security. Dante Network will deploy the smart contracts on the public chains, therefore, the decentralization is tied with the public chain’s consensus. As for the security, the storing process is executed off-chain, we need to ensure the users’ storage request is stored actually and can not be accessed by request node. This will bring the sacrifice of efficiency. Thus, we need a complicated method to deal with the verifiable of off-chain storage and confidentiality of data. We retain the good scalability of the system because the storage service will be provided by the storage node which joins in the network in a decentralized way. In another word, it is easy for more nodes to join in the network, but the process of verifying its authentication during the storage service providing process will bring extra systemic expenses.

1)What consensus does Dante Network use?

Murphy:
Good question, Dante Network will use the consensus mechanism of the public chain by deploying the smart contract on it.

2) Currently, market is becoming very bullish on NFT trend. Can you share your opinion on NFT as a player in the NFT market? And does have any plan with NFT?

Murphy:
NFT is crazy popular in recent years, but we currently don’t have any plans to touch this field. As a storage infrastructure, we may consider to provide privacy storage service for NFT transactions or circulations in the future. And we may release limited NFT in the future to record our achievement as a rewards or souvenir to our community contributors.

3) Do the token holders have the right to participate in the governance of the project? What kind of decisions can they vote on about the project?

Murphy:
Community is a key factor in the blockchain projects. We put community development at a very important position all the time, and we will keep doing so all along with our project going.
As we listed in our Whitepaper, Dante takes 8%Token from the tokenomic to use as community construction. 8% Token will be used as incentives to encourage the users to contribute to Dante Network. There will not be any financial requirements for users to participate, like today’s AMA.
In the early stage, the project team will play the main part to support and develop the community growth due to technological requirements and marketing demands. While as the project developing to a stable stage, we will start the community governance by the form of DAO to achieve the DECENTRALIZATION goal. The community will be the owner of Dante Network who makes decisions through democracy voting to modify any change of Dante. Meanwhile, In order to avoid the monopoly, we will consider voting twice in the DAO system to make sure the activities go on a properly fair way.

4) Can you tell us some of the latest achievements made by the Project ? Can you describe in details the current development efforts, such as market expansion plans, expected applications & new upcoming program of events?

Murphy:
As we mentioned in our whitepaper, we have three stages to finish the whole project, and the project implementation of the first stage has been basically finalized. The system testing is coming to an end. We have launched the prototype of the first stage which winned the second prize of DoraHacks Hackathon. Meanwhile, we are now participating in the following activity called Hackathon Plus for further testing. As the project is pushing along, we are going to carry out the other round of testing online. And a few weeks ago, we obtained the partnership with NEAR Protocol, this is also a big step. We now start our cross-chain privacy storage work on NEAR. And, we are also trying our hardest to negotiate with more other public chains to achieve partnership.
Moreover, from the technology study perspective, we made great progress in the research of verifiable storage based on zero-knowledge proof through partnering with universities. To be honest, this is very threshing news since the results of the research can literally increase the practical functions and utilities of Dante privacy storage. This will give Dante Network better security and usability which may exceed others. As for our following arrangement, the implementation of cross-chain work will be the emphasis of the work.
