CRYPTO MINERS
16 min readFeb 14, 2023

LitCraft is a magical world hidden in a plain view. LitCraft Nysperience is an open-ended magical universe where anyone can Play-to-Own by battling competitors, crafting items, crafting LitPets, playing popular game genres, or starting virtual businesses. Play against yourself or others in a rich and detailed sci-fi fantasy universe. LitCraft’s gameplay is often described as Minecraft, meets Hearthstone, meets Candy Crush. LitCraft also includes dozens of fun games like solitaire and sudoku, just to name a couple, that you can play to earn. You’ll quickly be addicted to this easy to learn but difficult to master gaming ecosystem that leverages skill, strategy and valuable collectibles.

We hosted an AMA session with LitCraft on 8th February.

Mr. Ramsy was the host from Crypto Miners and Mr. Tom, Founder of LitCraft was the guest. He shared delightful knowledge and unique features of LitCraft.
.
Segment 1️⃣: Introduction

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Hello everyone 👋 Welcome to Our Another AMA session With LitCraft

Today, we are very honored to invite Mr. Tom Anderson the founder of LitCraft, To be our guest in our today’s session to introduce LitCraft

Hey Tom

Tom Anderson:
Excited to be here!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Welcome here mate

Thanks for bringing Us LitCraft ❤️

Tom Anderson:
Would love to get Crypto Miners playing :)

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Glad to hear that 😍

First of all Could you introduce yourself to us?

Tom Anderson:
sure… I’m Tom Anderson, Devvio’s CEO and the creator of LitCraft. I’m an experienced entrepreneur. I’ve raised over $60 million in funding for my companies. The first company I founded was a video game company, so a lot of my experience is in the video game industry. In that business I licensed on the order of $100 million of video game development, and we published over 100 titles. My second big company is Devvio, a blockchain company. I started it 7 years ago as I see blockchain as one of the few technologies we’ll see in our lifetime that will fundamentally change computing, on par with the internet. We saw a lot of need and room to innovate, so we designed our own blockchain protocol from scratch, the DevvX platform.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Nice to have you today 🤝

Tom Anderson:
thx. seems like a great group. I’ve focused our growth working with communities like this

Community is very important to Devvio and LitCraft

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
We’re so glad to choose us to explore LitCraft 🤝

Now let’s begin our first part of the AMA session, Project Introduction

I’m pretty sure that our Community is very much excited to learn more about LitCraft

So let’s start of you’re ready Tom!

Tom Anderson:
sounds great!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Alright 👍

1. Can you Make a concise and brief introduction about LitCraft? What is your vision behind the project?

Tom Anderson:
LitCraft is a rich and deep sci-fi fantasy universe. The main idea in the LitCraft lore is that there are mages with powerful magical abilities living all around us, hidden in plain view. There are hidden mage cities, a complex society, a powerful magic system, numerous magical creatures and races, and it encompasses many metaphysical concepts that explore the nature of our lives and existence. From a business perspective, LitCraft is a brand that encompasses many different types of IPs — video games (LitCraft Nysperience and many more to come), books (Grant Beagan, etc), shows (Paps n Eeee, coming soon), and hopefully movies and broad expansions of everything.

LitCraft represents a society that I feel we should strive for. Importantly, with respect to the blockchain space, LitCraft is a beachhead in our Digital Financial Ecosystem. I believe it is the longest running blockchain game, but most importantly, it is a complex ecosystem of digital assets and platform tools. We have a marketplace, seller’s portal, digital wallet, and the games and applications themselves.

I believe that companies that create digital financial ecosystems (as opposed to specific applications) will be the biggest winners across all metaverse applications. Ultimately, the vision is much broader than just games… it is to create a global and encompassing digital financial ecosystem, give people access to the value they create, and give people the resources they need to fulfill their potential.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Thanks Tom for this well start about LitCraft

Let’s see our second question from this segment

2. What are the features of LitCraft that makes it superior and special as compared to the competitors?

Tom Anderson:
Our blockchain is a big part of what sets us apart. We can process millions of transactions per second, sub second settlement, millions of times less expensive than Ethereum, and importantly, we have our RESTful API interface which allows any of the worlds 25 million web developers to use our system (we have 100x more people that have the knowledge to build with our system as compared to Ethereum). Also, our focus on a Digital Financial Ecosystem is a strong competitive advantage. Given that we have all of the foundational tools to build an entire ecosystem, as well as a design that takes many different types of efforts and value and coordinates them, I feel we will emerge as a leader in the metaverse space. Also, in contrast to most blockchain gaming projects, our games are fun! Even before we release the game as a Play-to-Own/Earn game, we had members who played over 500 hours.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Can you provide an overview about Nysperience Gameplay? And What are the requirements to play the game?

Tom Anderson:
You can download LitCraft Nysperience at LitCraft.com. It is free to play — no startup costs are required. We have a robust game ecosystem and financial ecosystem already. We launched the game officially last April, but it has been running live (as a testbed) for over 4 years now. We are going to release version 4.0 on Earth Day, 4/22/23, which will include a greatly expanded financial ecosystem, many more games (there are dozens of games), and a more robust digital business ecosystem. There will be thousands of tokens and recipes, a complex ecosystem in which you can build a business and coordinate many different types of games and efforts, some great PVP games, and overall a foundation for a Digital Financial Ecosystem that incorporates not just effort in games, but real world effort as well. It is an exciting vision — I think it is the type of thing that is bigger than what even Meta is envisioning, given the impact that financial ecosystems will have in the metaverse space.

In our model, players can play games or take part in any type of activity (including real world activities like social media, helping the environment, visiting locations, etc) and earn tokens and coins in the LitCraft Universe. You can play a minecraft type of gameplay, a match 3 gameplay like Candy Crush, a merge type of gameplay that is a popular genre, soon — classic games like solitaire and sudoku, etc. It is a lot of fun, and is compelling gameplay and experiences. When players earn tokens they can combine and craft them into more and more complicated things, or they can use them directly in businesses. Businesses are similar to real world businesses — there are expenses and profits and you grow them over time into profitability.

The end result is that players can play and interact how they want and where they have fun or see the most potential to earn, and all of one’s activities can be important to other players activities. You can specialize as much as you want. In the real world if you own a bakery, you don’t grow your own wheat and do your own legal — you pay others for the results of their efforts. The concept is the same in our ecosystem.

All items show up in the DevvX wallet, and they can be bought and sold on GlassBlock.io. Items include traditional game monetization like power ups. A power up that a casual player buys for a match 3 game is crafted by another player, for example! cool concept. Marketing that one uses in a digital business comes from points earned in real world marketing on social media, for example. There are lots of ways to earn and lots of fiat offramps.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
That is a well detailed answer👌

Tom Anderson:
Hopefully not too wordy. Really you can just download, start playing, and follow the tasks in the tasks system.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Now Tell us about Lit Legion, How does it benefit for the users?

Tom Anderson:
Lit Legion is one of the most exciting upcoming concepts we have for 2023 — It is our community effort where users can do real world tasks and earn tokens and coins (all part of the digital financial ecosystem described above). You can think of it like a real-world MMO (massively multiplayer online game, like World of Warcraft, for example). There are NPCs that direct you through many different task trees, and you continually do fun tasks to level up and earn. It is going to be a great community and a lot of fun to earn and grow within our ecosystem. It is an extension to the overall concept — you can focus on what you find most enjoyable or compelling, and earn from your activities. Lit Legion members can take part in social media interactions, create guides for other users, help other community members out and have fun interacting, or even earn badges and rewards just from playing games. It will be a lot of fun.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Lastly What LitCraft achieved so far and What important updates and developments can we expect in the future?

Tom Anderson:
We started the game over 4 years ago, and it has been running live on the blockchain the whole time (mainly in the early days as a testbed application). When the blockchain gaming space blew up, we had a ready to go game, so we launched it on 4/22/22 as its own product, and it has been going very well. There are dozens of games that one can play now in LitCraft Nysperience, a robust battling game, and virtual businesses that one can grow and earn. Anything one earns in game can be easily sold on GlassBlock.io (check it out). We have a seller’s portal, and of course a wallet application (https://devvx.glassblock.io/). We are headed towards a big V4 launch on 4/22/23 (Earth Day) that has many updates encompassing the newly expanded digital financial ecosystem. We’re adding dozens more games, leveling up in businesses, the new community effort Lit Legion as described above, and overall an upgrade to the complexity of the digital financial ecosystem design. We’re adding hundreds more tokens and asset types, many more recipes, and the business system is going to be compelling. I’m very excited about where we’re headed.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Thanks Tom for this great introduction about LitCraft 👍

That’s the wrap up of our the first part of the AMA session ✅

Tom Anderson:
Thanks for giving me a chance to describe what we’re doing :) Exciting times at LitCraft.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Let’s now proceed to our Twitter Questions section

I hope you’re ready for that!!

Tom Anderson:
yep 👍

Segment 2️⃣: Twitter Questions

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
1.As I understand, “LitCraft” is also an economy in which ownership is totally decided by players. This is quite a different strategy to what we usually see from P2E games, so would you let us know how this mechanism is sustainable? What does the player “own” in the game!

Tom Anderson:
The main point in what we’re doing with the LitCraft ecosystem, is creating a financial ecosystem where players monetize the game rather than a publisher. That is a really compelling concept, and is an enormous future category in the overall video games industry. Proven concepts like power-ups, skins, advertising, etc. are monetized by players through tokens they create and craft.

We have designed our digital financial ecosystem to not rely solely on growth. Many blockchain games are simply a system of issuances balanced against sinks, but that is not a sustainable approach and only really works well during growth phases. We’ve focused on a long term robust digital financial ecosystem that brings together many different types of activities, lots of flow across the activities, many tie-ins with real world efforts and value, and importantly a lot of fun and great social interaction. We are building mobile applications and already have easy to use infrastructure for beginners. It is an effort designed for long term growth irrespective of how the markets are performing at any given time.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
2.I’ve learnt that LitCraft does not require any initial investment to play the game, thus making it a free-to-play game. How would your company profit from this kind of business model if the game is free-to-play? Can you please discuss more about your business model?

Tom Anderson:
Our business model is to take a small percentage of sales (4.5%) of items sold on GlassBlock.io. We also will sell some Genesis items over time as we expand gameplay into new categories, but after initial genesis sales, it transitions to player sales and we don’t ever compete with players. Players take the lion’s share of value in the entire ecosystem — that’s the point in this type of model!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
3:In the open magical universe of LitCraft Nysperience, how will you ensure fairness for all players in the play-to-buy fighting wrestler game? Who is the target audience, and what coins are needed to play?

Tom Anderson:
In LitCraft Nysperience there are a lot of ways to play — it is not simply PVP. You can play any of dozens of games that cover many of the most popular genres. Much of the gameplay is PvE, working through levels, doing activities like mining etc, where player-vs-player doesn’t come in. We have many players who have played hundreds of hours (even before the game was launched as a real product when it was a testbed, just because they thought the gameplay was fun). In terms of the PVP aspects of the game, we’re using a ladder system where people work their way up and down the ladder and end up playing against players of their comparable level, so I think the matchmaking design is a good one. You can compete and earn without spending money. You can craft or purchase new LitPets to become more competitive and work your way further up the ladder. The game and ecosystem’s currency is called Heptals. You can play right away without any Heptals.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Guys Currently LitCraft is conducting a contest with $1,500 worth of prizes! 🎁

Check it out: https://www.litcraft.com/contest-february-2023

Don’t miss it guys 📌

Tom Anderson:
yeah, the contests are fun, with some great prizes. The community is great too — check out our LitCraft Telegram as well — lots of friendly folks to help you get started. https://t.me/LitCraft

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
4.Most players are looking to join games that generate profits, so how will build a game that is fun, dynamic and where every day players can generate more profits, Tell us about your plan to ensure the game is always profitable and keep player assets safe?

Tom Anderson:
All of players assets are held on the DevvX Blockchain (https://devvx.glassblock.io/). A user owns the assets even outside of the game in addition to what you see in your inventory in the game. In terms of earning, I’m really proud of the overall design. We’ve created an ecosystem that takes dozens of different games with many more to come, virtual businesses that you can level up and grow and which mirror real world business concepts, PVP gaming, and real world tie-ins. All of these things create a complex ecosystem, where any person’s activities are valuable to another person. This is like the real world — we all work at jobs creating value in a bigger economy.

I feel we have the most solid long-term foundation of any blockchain game.

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Let’s move to our last question from Twitter

5.What plans does the project have to entice traditional gamers to the blockchain gaming market? Because at present, the blockchain game model is still too new to reach users, besides the graphics and game content are not attractive. How will Project overcome this situation?

Tom Anderson:
sounds good

This is a good question, and is a big part of the point of our approach. First, we took traditional gameplay that is fun and proven, and is applicable to traditional gamers. Many traditional gamers will simply want to play games like the traditional video game industry, and those players will buy tokens from other players who craft what they wand and need (power-ups, skins, etc). We are releasing our games on mobile, which will draw in many more players. We made our ecosystem very easy to access as well. Our marketplace looks like a traditional web2 marketplace (like Shopify for example). Our wallet is easy to use like a traditional web2 financial portals (like Paypal). You can check out with a credit card and get your items in less than a second. Overall, it is very easy to use and familiar, and easy to tie into traditional games. Over time we expect to add in AAA titles into the ecosystem as well (I have a lot of experience in doing so).

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
That’s the wind up of our twitter segment

Tom Anderson:
ok great. good questions :)

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Now Moving on to our last segment — Live Q&A

Shall we Tom?

Tom Anderson:
let’s do it!

Ramsy | Crypto Miners:
Cool,

Segment 3️⃣: Live QnA
(In this segment group was opened for 60 seconds and Miners sent hundreds of questions. Guest choose some best to answer)

1) Jarvis $BTC:
How does LitCraft’s economy, where players can trade items and build businesses, represent a revolution in terms of providing an accessible gateway to the digital economy? How do you balance player enjoyment with potential play-to-buy opportunities?

Tom Anderson:
we have focused on a complex economy mixed in with lots of different types of gameplay and fun. The complexity of the economy and the many types of activities balance earning and enjoyment

2) Gf:
Are you charging the users for trading tools and on data dynamics? What is your strongest advantage that you think will make your team leading the market?

Tom Anderson:
we don’t charge for tools, though we let people craft tools and sell them to other players. Our biggest advantages are our tech, our team (what I am most proud of at Devvio and LitCraft), or ecosystem design.

3) Aamir:
At most times, blockchain gaming projects are being developed and deployed either Ethereum or BSC networks. However, LitCraft will be live on the DevvX network. Why did you choose DevvX over other networks? How compatible Devvx Network is to your project?

Tom Anderson:
I’m the founder of Devvio and the creator of LitCraft. Devvio was designed for the scale and cost effectiveness that games need. Other blockchains don’t fit the requirements for large scale gaming, especially AAA level gaming

4) Dary:
LitCraft features a robust economy where you can trade your items in a marketplace, build business. Can the development of LitCraft be considered a revolution in terms of providing an accessible ramp into the digital economy? How do you go about figuring out the right ratio between players’ enjoyment of the game and the potential to play to buy while they play?

Tom Anderson:
nice question — brownie points for putting a couple nice comments into the question haha. I do think our approach is revolutionary — it’s different than what else is out there in terms of game economy. I don’t see having fun as mutually exclusive to earning — we designed things where people can focus on what they want to, and earn doing so

5) APPLE MAHMUD:
How many characters and elements are there in #LitCraft_io and how is the game designed? Can you tell us about the key features and give some details about each of them, how we can generate profit and the marketplace you designed for the game?

Tom Anderson:
we have 1000’s of item types, hundreds of Base Pets that can be used to craft 236 different LitPets. There are thousands of recipes, dozens of different kinds of games. It already is very broad and deep

you do activities on Gleam, and get tickets. We hold a raffle for some great prizes. Everything in the LitCraft ecosystem including prizes, can be sold on GlassBlock.io

6) North:
Hi Tom

What is “STATE-OF-THE-ART BLOCKCHAIN”? Why do we have to select only seven of our Litpet for battle and not more? Does that mean we are also only limited to hold only 7 Litpet per player? Since it is a “free-to-play” game, how do we get the Litpet if we download the game now?

Tom Anderson:
state of the art blockchain refers to our blockchain DevvX — highspeed and cost effective with a RESTful API interface. 7 LitPets is for game balance and 7 is an important number in the LitCraft Lore

7) Dary:
🔷Real world problems with solutions that are financially worthwhile and fit the lifestyle landscape of the future. What are some of the real world problems/pain points that LitCraft intends to solve to the extent of getting blockchain-based items that can be sold in a real world marketplace?

Tom Anderson:
We have a lot of expansions planned into real world applications — we are going to incorporate Plastics tokens with a partner company, for example, where while you play and interact with our ecosystem you contribute to literally removing plastic from Earth’s oceans. Over time we will have more and more real-world integrations with the overall digital financial ecosystem

8) Bruxa Tantrica (USA):
By understanding what users value and need, you can prioritize features and improvements based on the greatest impact and return on investment. Do you believe that feedback from community can help to prioritize features and improvements?

Tom Anderson:
community is one of the most important areas where we get feedback in the game. I interact daily with our community and get many ideas and suggestions from them

9) King Of Crypto:
Do you have any Bug Bounty to check for weakness? In what way do you plan to make Your project more complete??

Tom Anderson:
I’ve given many rewards to our community for finding bugs — this is a common practice for us

10) Bruxa Tantrica (USA):
Can you tell us about the team behind the Litcraft project and their experience in the fields of literature and technology? How does The Litcraft Project plan to build and maintain a strong community of writers and readers?

Tom Anderson:
the team (Devvio and LitCraft) is what I’m most proud of. It is a world class team. Have a look here. https://www.devv.io/about

*This segment ends here *

Tom Anderson:
Ok. we’re at time — didn’t get to read all of the questions — so many good ones. Thanks everyone for taking part and listening.
Crypto Miners is a great community so was really nice meeting everyone!!!
