AMA Recap: CRYPTO MINERS X OPEN STREAM
OpenStream World is a decentralized video streaming network; built to enable scalable, easy to host, interactive online events. OpenStream World is Livestream-to-earn and decentralized video streaming network; built to enable scalable, easy to host, interactive online events.
OpenStream World = Streaming + NFTs + Fundraising + Forging
Through the power of open source software, we optimize the use of resources like computational power and bandwidth, and use crypto-economic incentives for bootstrapping and participation; there is an opportunity here to deliver an infrastructure that can power video streaming applications at a highly efficient price, and infinite scale.
We hosted an AMA session with OpenStream on 3rd March.
Mr. Ramsy was the host from Crypto Miners and Mr. Khoa, Founder of OpenStream was the guest. He shared delightful knowledge and unique features OpenStream.

Segment 1️⃣: Introduction
.
Ramsy:
Hello everyone 👋 and welcome to the Crypto Miners AMA session With OpenStream
Thank you all for joining us today❣
To help us learn more about the featured project of this AMA session, we are lucky to be joined By Mr Khoa
Khoa Trinh:
hello Ramsy
Ramsy:
Hello there 👋
Khoa Trinh:
hello everybody
Ramsy:
Welcome here
Thanks for bringing Us OpenStream ❤️
Khoa Trinh:
First of all, I would like to thank the group admin for allowing me to be here and talk to all of you about OpenStream World
Ramsy:
We’re also glad to see you here
Can we start if you’re ready
Khoa Trinh:
yep, we can start the section 1 :)
Ramsy:
First of all can you tell us a little bit about yourself?
Khoa Trinh:
I’m Khoa (you can call me Howard) - Founder/CTO of the projectI graduated from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology - Vietnam, majoring in Computer Science
After graduating, I worked for an outsourcing company (TMA Solutions), 3 years as a Technology Product Manager for Lien Viet Post Bank (a famous bank in Vietnam), and before I built OpenStream World, I founded a real estate technology company
I entered the crypto market since 2018
Then lost a lot
😢
(If you talk about buy the peak sell the dip, i am legend hahaa)
then diving deeper into blockchain technology
Ramsy:
Thanks Howard for this great start 🤝
Can you tell us what is OpenStream World? What makes it special?
Khoa Trinh:
Yes, the name of it carries the vision of the project: Open your livestream to the worldIn short, it's like Twitch but blockchain-based
As you know, with the rise of blockchain, the world of technology splits into two halves: blockchain and non-blockchain (traditional product), in which blockchain products simulate and try to improve inherent weaknesses of traditional products
OpenStream World is no exception
By converting Creatornomic to Tokenomic, we want to solve the income problem for digital content creators
And talk about what makes it special?
We are pioneers in the Livestream-to-earn (L2E) model
For example
you livestream for 30 minutes, you have 25 viewers, have a total of 150 interactions
then you earn a total 30x25+150 = n $OSW
Sounds interesting, right?
Of course the algorithm to earn tokens is more complicated than that, but I tell you to understand what L2E look like
The second thing I think is interesting is that we will provide a tool for you to livestream to sell digital products as NFT, right in the livestream
Imagine
you are an artist
you livestream the process of drawing Pikachu
it takes you 2 hours to finish drawing
then you convert your stuff into NFT
Your total income from the livestream is x $OSW
if you are lucky, there is a viewer who likes and buys this NFT item for y $OSW. You can then frame and send the real picture to them
Ramsy:
3) And about Livestream-to-earn (L2E), why did you choose this model when the current trend is Play-to-earn?
Khoa Trinh:
I don’t think we’re going against the trendThe stronger the P2E, the stronger the L2E
There is a common scenario like this:
you are not a talented streamer, you are not good at gaming, and you are playing a game of the gamefi genre
The gameplay of these games is not really interesting at all
you only play for money :'(
you invest some NFT characters, costing you $xxx/character
Because you will figure out if all goes well, after x weeks you will get your investment back
Now you want to increase your income while playing this game
You open an account on OpenStream Live, buy L2E package
You livestream the process of you playing the game, and receive additional bonus OSW tokens
So when combining L2E and P2E, after x weeks not only have you recovered your capital when investing in NFT characters in game, you have also earned an additional amount of OSW tokens to sell
Ramsy:
4) The traditional gaming livestream model is currently very strong, typically Twitch. In addition, Youtube Live, Facebook Live and recently Tiktok Live are also growing rapidly. How will you compete with them?
Khoa Trinh:
We do not compete with themAs I said above, the world has split into two: blockchain and non-blockchain. They are the giants, mining non-crypto customers, and we are blockchain businesses, we focus on crypto customers
And speaking of crypto customers
according to crypto.com figures, as of December 2021 there are more than 295M crypto customers
We think this customer base is large enough, and the crypto community is strong enough to have its own livestreaming platform
Ramsy:
5)We see on your whitepaper, in addition to the livestream product, we also see that you have a plan to develop Stream Node Forger, what is it?
Here is our last question from this segment
Khoa Trinh:
To be honest with you, we are very ambitiousOur elevator pitch is: livestream to earn and decentralized video streaming network
The infrastructure cost for livestream is huge, and we want to solve the problem with Stream Node Forger (SNF)
If you have good hardware with powerful video cards, and you have good internet connection, you can install SNF program to help us transcoding live streams
We will reward you with tokens
Instead of paying large amounts of money to cloud providers, we pay tokens to members of our community that help us do transcoding and delivering stuff
But that for the later phase, now we are focusing on product development on the application tier first
Ramsy:
Thanks Howard for this well detailed introduction about OpenStream:)
Let’s go to the Twitter Questions
Khoa Trinh:
some guys are waiting for this i though :)
Segment 2️⃣: Twitter Questions
Ramsy:
1: If I want to stream and generate income in OpenStream World, what do I need to do? Do I need to have a certain following base that donates to me while I am live as it happens on every other Streaming platform? Where will the revenue for streamers come from on your platform?
Khoa Trinh:
Very simple, connect the wallet right on the platform, buy the L2E package and we will give you a stream keyyou can use this stream key in the software we provide or OBS, Streamlabs or any software that supports livestream
If you use our software, you can stream to our platform at the same time as youtube (or Twitch is fine)
You make money from Youtube (Twitch)?
keep making money like that, but in the meantime you will still earn more money from OSW
The source of income for streamers comes from game projects, advertising, affiliates, brand deals, donations and gifts from viewers
that's all
Ramsy:
2.: After checking the website, Openstream World vision & Mission is good. but it needs a large user traffic to be sustainable over time. What is your marketing strategy to increase the validity of your project brand? Are you planning a strategic partnership to level up your project?
Khoa Trinh:
You know, livestreaming has some specific properties that support marketingWhen a streamer livestreams simultaneously on OSW platform and youtube (or Twitch),
if they have 1000 viewers, our brand will also reach 1000 peoplestreamer will be more motivated to convert viewers from non-crypto to crypto, especially encourage them to join the OSW platform
because the amount of tokens the streamer holds will become more and more valuable
And about the marketing strategy
We have a lot of plans to develop the streamer community, from recruiting ambassadors, organizing contests to find streamer talent in each category, coordinating with game projects to organize tournaments…
Ramsy:
3: In OpenStream, is earning only through livestreaming? How about uploading contents? Can we also earn by WATCHING live streams and contents?
Khoa Trinh:
Besides L2E we also have Earn-while-watch modeYou only need to hold a small amount of tokens to enable this mode
Of course Earn-while-watch will not earn much, but when users watch too much and for too long, I think the income will not be so bad
FYI
Twitch's users are super engaged and spend a lot of time on Twitch, with almost half of them spending 20 hours or more on the platform every week. According to Nielsen, the average American watches 4.3 hours of television per week, meaning that among its most dedicated users, Twitch nearly surpasses time spent watching TV
Ramsy:
4: What do I need to become a member of the OpenStream platform and start earning income? How many different membership types are there in OpenStream, what is the currency in which we can buy gifts and donate?
Khoa Trinh:
Watching is always freebut if you want to make money, you have to invest
Not only invest money but also time, effort and enthusiasm
Because more and more people see gaming and livestreaming as a profession
We cooperate with many entities
from individuals, organizations, gamefi projects, blockchain projects...
each entities has its own membership package
Khoa Trinh:
Example: Gamefi Project could create tournaments for gamers/streamers, create an extra pool of tokens to encourage their users to stream the games to the worldOf course all trades, exchanges, donates… use the $OSW token
By the way, we started the whitelisting campaign for the upcoming IDO round at:
https://sweepwidget.com/view/52023-gckobjdf
If you think this project has potential, quickly register for a slot and take time to learn more
Ramsy:
5: As we all know, TWITCH is a large community for streamers and is the home of LIVESTREAMERS. As a platform similar to this, can you tell us what contents does OpenStream offers in its platform? Is all contents allowed in here
Here the last question from twitter
Khoa Trinh:
At the beginning, we will prioritize crypto and blockchain related contentThere is a lot of that content: the project organize AMAs, livestream gamefi tournaments, experts guide newcomers, then In Real Life stuff and especially gameshow
There will be more tools to interact, not only drop reactions and comments or donate, viewers can participate in the stream as guests/players. We will implement gameshow functions in Q2 of this year
Ramsy:
Now lets go to the live segment
Segment 3️⃣: Live QnA
(In this segment group was opened for 60 seconds and Miners sent hundreds of questions. Guest choose some best to answer)
1)Taiwo Bisayo:
As OpenStream IDO Whitelist on pinkSale has just start today, so can you give us more details like how many slots will be whitelisted? When will it end? When and where will the winners be announced and so on?
Khoa Trinh:
Whitelist Competition will end at March 11th, 2022, (1:00 PM UTC) with 200 slots for winnersThe winners list be announced at our Telegram official channel and some social networks
please keep following us
2) Well That's:
Can you give an overview of your Tokenomics, and the UTILITY of Token?
Khoa Trinh:
you can read our whitepaper at: https://docs.openstream.world/basic-information/osw-tokenomicsto learn more about tokenomics
and about the token use cases
we have a very wide range of cases using the token
people can Pay for network broadcast fees
Investment, donate, Buy/sell NFTs, or Staking and Securing the network
3) What are the benefits of holding your token as long term investment? Can you tell us about the motivation and benefits for investors to keep the your token in the long run??
Khoa Trinh:
Our roadmap will make both short-term and long-term investors happy. About long-term investment, we have plan to decentralized video streaming network. This model is not new and we are not the first to do this. We’ve learned a lot from Livepeer’s model, and Livepeer’s pricing is pretty good right now. Because it is an investment for the future, when the livestream infrastructure is large enough and Stream Node Forgers is strong enough, we will convert to IAAS (Infastructure as a Service), sell livestream support services to technology companies.
4) CoinTravolta:
According to the Roadmap, there will be Open Stream Live Testnet on 19.03. How can we participate in your testnet, what conditions will we need to meet for this?
Khoa Trinh:
you can use a lot of functions on testnet, you can earn tokens from bug bounty programs, or L2E, or Earn white watch...
Conditions of participation are also very simple. You hold some tokens for the required number of days, and a bit of luck as well, as the queue to sign up for the testnet will be heavy.
Hope to see you again on a livestream on our platform :)
5) Waluyo Benjo:
In what ways do fans support idols ??
Can fans also benefit directly from the openstream ecosystem ??
Khoa Trinh:
Fans can connect wallets directly on the platform, donate directly to the streamer with tokens, with items, gifts, all of which can be converted into tokens.
On the other hand, in the early days streamers can also build their own fanbase by giving back tokens/items to viewers. Give awards to the most active fans, for example.
These things will improve the quality of the livestream a lot
