AMA Recap: CRYPTO MINERS X PEEPS
The Peeps Platform is a decentralized social monetization platform, where Users and Creators profit from popular content and channels. Followers earn a high yield through staking on content - and empower Creators to increase revenues through a social-proof mechanism called NameStaking. On top of this, it is built on the ultra scaling solution Polygon. The Peeps Platform reshapes the creator economy by making earning almost natural. The Creators and their Community should be the one becoming influential, known, admired and wealthy. Not the big centralized platforms. Peeps is the first platform to align the interests of Creators and Users, for the first time ever. This is how everybody wins on Peeps. Remodeling the creator economy in a fair and exciting way, Peeps removes the usual hurdles faced by the market participants such as high fees, censorship, unaligned incentives between the creators and their public, centralized authority, etc.
We hosted an AMA session with Peeps on 20th January.

First of all please give us a brief explanation about 'PEEPS' .What popped up in your mind to create such a platform in this Space?
PEEPS Platform:
Yes sure! First of all, Peeps is a social media platform!In a few words: a Web3 social platform that rewards both the Creators and the Users! A fair platform.
Why am I saying a "fair platform" you may ask? Well, think about the existing big social networks you all know.
On these big famous platforms:
• users are NEVER rewarded for their engagement
• users are giving up their data (who are then resold to other companies)
• the rules, the censorship, everything is decided by corporations
• the Creators are incentivized to team up with brands and do advertisements, instead of focusing on creating good content"No, that's not fair. 🙅♂", that's what we thought, and why we had the idea of Peeps
The first social platform that rewards EVERY user, that doesn't deal your data to shady corporations, that doesn't constraint your freedom of self expression, and the best part: where everyone can earn its fair share!

Q2) So what are your main features and advantages that discern you from other Projects?
PEEPS Platform:
I hope everyone in here likes NFTs, the metaverse and earning cryptocurrency, because that's what on the menu of our features 😎We just saw why traditional social media were unfair and we want to solve ALL these problems at once.
Web3 decentralization is gonna help a lot: Peeps is going to COMMUNITY-OWNED. Oh right, you like DAOs too? 😉
That decentralized structure means there is no big corp behind the platform that tells people what to say or not, what they can show or not. But what I love the most about it is:
Decentralization means we can redistribute the earning to the community!
How does Peeps achieve that? That's our killer feature: 'NameStaking' 🤯
NameStaking is a mechanism where every user can 'bid' on the channel of a Creator. You think this model is gonna have a lot of success? Alright, let's stake some crypto on her channel!
Then, whenever someone purchases her content, or purchases a paid subscription to her channel: you receive a part of the earnings!
NFTs are making it possible. Every content is gonna be an NFT on Peeps.
That's why there will also be a NFT marketplace 😉What's crazy about that is that these NFTs could create incredible synergies. For example, a Fashion designer, could have a real and a NFT version of an exciting new jacket. You can purchase both the real jacket and the NFT jacket for your avatar in the metaverse!
Yes you read that right: the metaverse! We are making Peeps in a way that it will bridge your digital identity and assets into the metaverse!
But remember frens: it's Web3, you can stay 100% anonymous if you want!

Q3) How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?
PEEPS Platform:
We started Peeps just a few months ago, it's crazy how fast on their feet everyone is! Our team is so passionate and effective that we are reaching big milestones every week! It feels like we're closing in super fast to launching our token, and our platforms afterwards!The Peeps is super diverse, we have people from all corners of Europe and Asia. We have people with backgrounds in social media, in finance, in advertisement, in blockchain development of course, in engineering... It's a fantastic crew of awesome and talented people.
The most noteworthy achievement of our team is how we got backed by Polygon 💜
It just clicked with these guys. They loved our project, we already loved their blockchain. In just a few days, we secured a partnership and a grant from them, which is absolutely awesome.
So a big shoutout to Polygon's team, they are fantastic people, we are super proud to work with them! 🤗
And honestly, being supported by such a major blockchain project gives us tremendous confidence. I mean: Peeps is going to be built on the fastest and most scalable existing Ethereum L2 of the present day, endorsed by Vitalik Buterin himself, no less. That's such a push and a chance!

4) Now Share us about your token, What are the some of utlities of $PME Token in Your Ecosystem? And if possible share to us the Mainnet Distribution
PEEPS Platform:
$PME is going to be the native cryptocurrency of the Peeps platform.It will be used to purchase content, subscribe to channels, to 'NameStake' of course, to deal on the NFT marketplace, etc.
We have planned the Token Generation Event for the end of the quarter, early Spring let's say.
That's gonna be an opportunity to seize! That's why I shall invite everyone already to stay tuned for these announcements 😉

Alright, Let's move to our last question from this segment...
Q5) So how long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? And what can we expect from PEEPS? If possible could you please share road map with us.
PEEPS Platform:
It's been very fast really.We achieved quite a lot in Q4 2021, like, I personally joined in October and basically that was almost the beginning of it.
Fast forward to now and our first prototype is almost ready, we are securing partnerships with 100k-followers influencers, fashion designers, Polygon of course... It goes exponential.
But hey let's look forward!
Because there is quite a lot of things coming up from our side.
• Live prototype & MVP
• NFT Drops and events for our Discord community
• DAO, as we want Peeps to be community-owned
• An increasing number of features, some of them discussed with the community already!Because, hey, let's talk about the community for a sec 😉
Peeps is all about the community, as should be every social media, right? You know that better than anyone Ramsy, with this fantastic community gathered today!
Therefore our future is completely 'community-centric'
We want to treat our community, because we love 'em, we love this project and we know they will love it too!
That's why we are about to implement a loooot of rewards, starting next week, for our early adopters, our 'OG Peeps' as we call the members who join our Discord channel now 😉

Please, give a solid example, what is it "NameStaking"?
PEEPS Platform:
Sure! Imagine you look through the content in Peeps and find a nice Channel you like.
This channel has lets say X-amount of followers.
You think: "hmm thats not a lot, i believe the content is good and at some point it will be more successfull!". 🔥Now you can hit right next to the channel name on "Stake on Channel" and choose how much $PME you will stake. Immediately, you are eligible to receive a certain % of the revenues this channel creates. 🚀
That means you kind of "work together with the influencer". The earlier you are there and NameStake on a Channel, the better it is for you! 🤑It’s almost like betting on a channel before it gets popular to earn as much % of the revenues as possible. Once you think: "Hmm, I found someone else, more interesting OR more promising $$$ wise" you can simply 'unstake' you $PME and take your profits into the other project (or swap it into something you’d like). 👀

I am burning to tell you all that awaits the early adopters, the 'OG Peeps' and our growing community but all I can say for now is that our core team has spent a LOT of time crafting an extensive document about 'rewarding the community'. That's how important it is to them.Of course, the earlier the join, the bigger the rewards, chances for raffles and spots on special events... Oops, I shouldn’t say too much 😊

Current NFT is a hot topic, but are NFT not just for art. Does your project think that more real world use cases will emerge for NFTs as time goes on, why should we take NFTs seriously?
PEEPS Platform:
I can tell you about a specific use case that is going to happen very soon on Peeps: the synergy between social media and the Fashion industry!We secured a partnership with a brilliant and rising designer to display her clothes on the metaverse. Peeps will be a way for her to show her creations but the fact that the content will be NFT also means that she can link the content on the platform to actual items!
Say she designs a wonderful bag and you love it. You bid on the NFT and you're the winner! The bag gets shipped to you by the fashion designer + you now own an NFT that can include content to push on the metaverse. You can display a virtual version of this bag on your avatar, and it's a unique piece!
And that’s just ONE use case, we foresee so many exciting synergies, we really feel like it’s the start of something HUGE! 🔥 🔥 🔥
