AMA Recap: CRYPTO MINERS X PLUTONIANS

Plutonians is an NFT enabled and SPL token powered space RPG video game. The game framework will be developed as a combination of web2 multiplayer universe, and web3 enabled metaverse. Built in the spirit of openness that the Metaverse demands, Plutonians is a persistent-state web3 video game, with an underlying framework of primitives built to leave open the graphical layer to be reimagined by the community if they see fit. This leaves open the option for mobile, tablet, even ar, vr and beyond.

We hosted an AMA session with Plutonians on 14th March.

Mr. Ramsy was the host from Crypto Miners and Mr. James and Mr. Tillmann was the guests. They shared delightful knowledge and unique features of Plutonians.

First of all Please give us a brief explanation about 'PLUTONIANS' .What popped up in your mind to create such a platform in this Space?

Tillmann Meyer:
Plutonians is an NFT enabled and SPL token powered space RPG video game. The game universe is web3 enabled and will be released as a webXR version for browsers (mobile, desktop, and VR) and also an Unreal Engine version which we are super stoked on... I’ll share some of the models through this AMA 🙂

Q2) So what are your main features and advantages that discern you from other Projects?

James Lee:
That’s a great question!

Well we already have some gameplay and our main point of differences are that we have a game editor consisting of three tools comprising of:

Hammer: A content editor
Forge: The level builder
Anvil: World and story creator

Plus we have zero barriers to entry! Users won't need to purchase an NFT to play Plutonians and we are the first game to stand up a playable demo in VR.

Ramsy:
Q3) How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?

Tillmann Meyer:
We've been so lucky to be able to essentially put together our "dream team" and that team is truely global as well, so there is always something happening. We have staff in Portugal, Japan, Australia, Belgium, Pakistan... It's really great waking up and seeing all the amazing stuff people have been coming up with 🙂 I'd say the team is key to the success of the project.

We were talking to a recruiter just before this AMA and they are now taking investment in projects they find staff for, and I actually thought that was pretty smart, because they know which projects are actually building strong teams

Ramsy:
4) Now Share us about your Native tokens, What are the some of utlities of $RPC & $PLD in Your Ecosystem? And if possible share to us the Tokenomics

James Lee:
Here are some utility examples of our native tokens,

Governance:
PLD will have in-game utility but also form an integral part of our Governance system to allow for voting etc.

Staking Rewards:
RPC will be earned from staking PLD as one of the use cases amongst others / PU238 will be our Reward token

Payment for Service/Product:
Spaceship NFT's and components and in the future state job roles will be able to be paid for with PLD and RPC.

Liquidity:
PLD and RPC will be provided as DEX Liquidity for Market pairs PLD/RPC and also in-game liquidity to provide seamless swaps between the internal and external markets

In-game Utility:
Purchasing in-game fuel (PU238) with RPC, Purchasing upgrades, weaponry arrays, components, warp functionality etc.

Q5) So how long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? And what can we expect from PLUTONIANS? If possible could you please share road map with us.

Tillmann Meyer:
The project started as far back as May last year and it was really the community that drove it in those early days. Now that the project has grown into a leading metaverse project and partnered with some of the best in the industry including aldrin.com for our defi elements (and even a forthcoming wallet) the project has honestly become much bigger than I think anyone originally thought. So the querstion of what plans do we have for the future, well we still want to include and support that strong community that we've enjoyed from day one, so we really see our roles as game developers more as "the peoples game company", and that being said, the metaverse is not a fixed standard yet.

So we put all that together and kinda combined it into LABS!

So the community will be able to visit labs.plutonians.tech to play up to the minute game demos, gameplay and code experiments, and it also acts as a kind of "interactive roadmap" 🙂 and we will be also adding comments to it shortly so that we can get instant feedback from the community on the direction of the game.

Ultimately, the metaverse is going to be built by all of us!

Segment 2️⃣: Twitter Questions

1) There will be a core RPG solo player missions for players that don't want to get tangled up in PVP, You told that. But will there be multiplayer mode where we will be able to fight and compete for ships etc? Like we can fight, disable, board and loot other players ships?

Tillmann Meyer:
I'm going to answer quite directly because I really like this question

So yes, John rightly points out there is the two modes, solo RPG and then PVP... but in regards to the multiplayer and PVP, we want our social spaces to feel "real" so we are actually optimising the multiplayer code to try to include as many players in the single instance as we can... We want to have hundreds of players in a single instance and we don't want to ever be in a situation where the instance is split up and you can't find your friend for example

So it's a problem that every multiplayer game faces, but we think we have a few ways to deal with this

In regards to PVP though, just to take pressure of the social spaces, we want to push PVP into their own private instances so that we have more bandwidth for the kinds of epic space battles we want to see

So multiplayer social spaces will be split as well into "safe mode" for people who just want to enjoy the game and then a second mode "at risk" where you can diable, board, loot other players... BUT you may also be looted yourself

This is the plan at the moment. But our focus is on making sure the instance is as unified as possible 🙂

Ramsy:
2) Could you kindly explain your plan for attracting new users, as well as the incentive and advantages for traders and investors to hold Plutonians tokens for the long term? And We'd want to learn more about the plutonians token's usefulness, please tell us.

James Lee:
We have a robust go to market strategy for our game - we have commissioned the best in class PR company, a solid game marketing company and have a great team of asset creators and other creatives in house to push out the marketing.

Incentives are for our HODL'ers really, we have really GameFi'ed Plutonians to create some really great multipliers and incentives to stake, borrow, rent, earn etc. We truly believe that our economy, coupled with desirable gameplay is really what is going to be the most attractive element about our game.

I mentioned earlier some of the different tokens use-cases and utility. I will reply it now

Ramsy:
3) I see that Plutonians have a really solid partnership and collaborators on its list. Can you please elaborate and describe to us the importance of partnering up with other projects, companies and entities in this industry? How can partnerships be helpful for a project's success?

Tillmann Meyer:
Partnerships have really taken the project far further than I think we planned, and I can point to some that we've already anounced like the amazing staking and defi systems over at aldrin.com which will be offering staking options I don't think I've ever seen in the crypto space before so we are super excited about that. But also our forthcoming wallet announcment which I can't name directly yet (but can hint at) that I think will really help differentiate Plutonians but also enable players that may not have any crypto experience at all get up to speed and playing in an easy way!

And beyond that you know all of our amazing partners and launchpads which have been super supportive the whole way, I really think the entire industry recognises the potential for that gaming + crypto future, and we are honoured to be in the position of actually building it!

Ramsy:
4) One of the downsides of some P2E games is that they require a high initial investment to start playing, many of which are very expensive. Can we start playing Tap (plutonians game) with small capital? Will there be any discounts or benefits for early customers?

James Lee:
There is no barrier to entry, the first NFT spaceship is FREE, Ex-gratia, zero fee!! You can play straight away!

But, if you buy our PLD and RPC tokens we will also give you the ability to earn a better ship and better components, we will release information on that shortly on our socials1

5) As an investor, I want to know how strong is your project security system? and what benefits will a user have in the years to come when I decide to join the project you are working on right now?

All of our smart contracts will be double audited, we also use an amazing company that runs penetration testing on our servers and sites.

Tillmann Meyer:
YES TO DOUBLE AUDITS!!! We love redundancy.

James Lee:
Well, they can not only be part of the Plutonians family, but they may even wish to build out and help us expand the Plutonians Metaverse by using the toolset!

Why did you choose the Solana network for the development of Metaverse? What advantages and conveniences does it offer?

Tillmann Meyer:
I love this question! We saw a lot of battle games and turn based games and we felt that people were building to the capabilities of these legacy blockchains (specifically EVM).

When we started using Solana we saw the 400ms blocks, and asyncronous at that! And we quickly realised this is a blockchain that had the performance we needed to do the kind of realtime gameplay that we were more familiar with.

We are not alergic to multichain in the future, but at the moment Solana really is the only L1 that has the capabilities we need for Plutonians

James Lee:
You can play it on any screen, you can also play it on a VR headset! You may need a game pad for mobile :)

Is Plutonians tokens launched already? Has it been listed on BSC?

James Lee:
No, it hasn’t launched just yet, we don’t believe that the market conditions are currently optimal for such a big release.

5) CR7:
Too many projects promise magic but never release any working product or prove any revenue, Within a short/long time of release. Is it like this? If not can u tell us, What makes it different from other projects?

Tillmann Meyer:
Well we could have launched a marketplace first as others have, this doesn't take long to do, but we wanted to be clear that we were different from the very start so that's why we launched the VR demo first!

We are hoping that labs.plutonians.tech will provide the transparency on the development of the game for the community and a valuable way for the community to give feedback on that progress and help us in building the kind of metaverse that we all want to play

What is the most ambitious goal of your project? Could share with us any Upcoming Updates?

James Lee:
I think the Game Editor Suite is the most exciting feature as it really sets us apart from every other project!

Is your project only for English speaking countries or is there a community for other users?🕶️✅

Tillmann Meyer:
The website we have transalted into many languages, and the trailer as well has localization support! But we of course want to have the game in as many languages as possible. Our game editor will make localization easier and when we release these tools to the public sometime soon we hope that the community will be able to help out with that localization (including voice acting!) We would certainly look at some way to reward the community members that engage with that important work!

I've been following you for a while, I've seen you participate in many #AMA events. I think #AMA events are very important for the promotion of the project and marketing. So what else do you do in the field of marketing?

James Lee:
We have marketing campaigns on all SNS, press releases and other PR, Gaming Marketing, partnership marketing, KOL's etc.
