Raze Network is a Substrate-based, cross-chain privacy protocol for the Polkadot ecosystem. It is built as a native privacy layer that can provide end-to-end anonymity for the entire DeFi and Web3.0 stack. The Raze Network applies zkSNARKs to the Zether framework to build a second-layer decentralized anonymous module. It will then be imported as a substrate-based smart contract. The objective of Raze Network is to enable cross-chain privacy-preserving payment and trading systems, while protecting the transparency of your assets and behaviours from surveillance.

We hosted an AMA session with Raze Network on 2nd September at 3:00 PM UTC.

Miss Sadia from Crypto Miners hosted this ama and Mr. Mac, Business Development Manager of Raze Network was our guest. He shared delightful knowledge and unique features of Raze Network.

.

Segment 1️⃣: Introduction

.

Sadia Tasnim:
Hello community, welcome to a special AMA session with Raze network

Now let's welcome our special guest from Raze Network team here to join us.

Mac | Raze Network:
Hey everyone, happy to be here!

Sadia Tasnim:
Welcome here ☺🤝

Let's start without making much delay!😁 could you Introduce a bit about yourself please? How did you get to be involved in Crypto & RAZE NETWORK

Mac | Raze Network:
Yes of course. My name is Mac and I am the business development manager for Raze Network. I help with partnerships, community building and a bit of marketing.

Sadia Tasnim:
That was a great start !☺

Mac | Raze Network:
I will give you just a short background. I come from a traditional engineering and tech background and in 2017 I got really interested in the crypto space. After some time I decided that I wanted to be a part of this rapidly expanding industry and began to work on some decentralized projects. I have held a few different roles, which I believe is what makes me well suited to help build and grow projects.

Sadia Tasnim:
Cool

Can you give a brief explanation about 'Raze Network' .What popped up in your mind to create such a platform in this space?

Mac | Raze Network:
Raze Network is a cross-chain privacy protocol built for the growing DeFi and Web 3.0 ecosystem. By applying zkSNARKS to the Zether framework, Raze is an EVM-compatible layer-2 middleware that will enable end-to-end anonymity for decentralized applications running on Ethereum, Polkadot, and Binance Smart.

Sadia Tasnim:
Sounds great🙌

Mac | Raze Network:
Our team decided to create this platform as we truly believe in peoples privacy. We see Big Tech companies using our data for their own benefits and wanted to do our part to help prevent this. Also, we believe that privacy is the final step in the mass adoption of DeFi.

Sadia Tasnim:
So what are your main features that discern you from other projects and what robust advantages do you have?

Mac | Raze Network:
First, Raze is an EVM-compatible layer-2 middleware that will enable end-to-end anonymity for decentralized applications. Ultimately we are a cross-chain privacy protocol built for the growing DeFi and Web 3.0 ecosystem.

What makes us different from the other projects is that most privacy projects are layer-1 solutions. While this can be good, you limit the reach of your network and require applications to build on top of you. Whereas with us as a layer-2 solution, we can have deployments on various networks and easily integrate with other DApps on those networks.

Then from a more technical perspective. Our zero-knowledge proof scheme does not require any trusted setup. All the public parameters of our system can be randomly sampled from the underlying group in a totally transparent fashion, which is much more in line with both sound network design and decentralization.

Sadia Tasnim:
Cool 👌 can you provide an overview on how Raze Network tokens are being used ?can you explain how Users can mine RAZE?

Mac | Raze Network:
The RAZE token is the core utility item of our platform. Its main functions are as follows:

1. Privacy Preserving: RAZE gives DeFi users the ability to move between applications and blockchains seamlessly, while leaving no trace of trading history or interactions with applications.

2. Governance and Voting: RAZE token holders can create and vote for proposals on the project

3. Intermediary of Exchange: the RAZE token can be used for different services in the ecosystem

4. Token Burning: A certain percentage of transaction fees are burned in the form of RAZE tokens

Now as for mining, Raze account holders will be able to mine Raze tokens right on our platform!

Sadia Tasnim:
Sounds great! How has the experience and background of your team been effective in the success of your project so far?

Mac | Raze Network:
Our team has come from a multiple of different background which we believe brings perspective to any project. We are also a decentralized team and have members across the globe which helps us see the need for privacy in different countries.

With our experience we know how to build and scale companies quickly and want to out perform other players in our space.

Sadia Tasnim:
We're also expecting a lot from your team! ☺🤝🚀

Mac | Raze Network:
Thank you!

Sadia Tasnim:
Can you share more details about the Raze Network Tokenomics,is there any particular vesting schedule if so can you share more about it?

Mac | Raze Network:
Yes definitely. We do have a particular vesting schedule for different token allocation. We actually had a very sussesful community vote on updating a part of our vesting schedule that took place on Aug 1st.

if you want to see our Tokenomics, I suggest you go to our documents page to get the full details.

https://docs.raze.network/getting-started/token-economics

it has been updated based on our community vote

Sadia Tasnim:
So how long did it take to develop this project? What plans do you have for the future? And what can we expect from Raze Network? If possible could you please share road map with us.

Mac | Raze Network:
This project has been in the works since Q3 of 2020 with the main idea of it coming even before that.

As for the next item on our current road map is the launch of our mainnet in Q4 of this year. At that time we will also be unveiling our roadmap for 2022.

I would just like to note here that currently we have our testnet launched which everyone should checkout if they have not before. Here is the link: http://testnet.raze.network/

and as for the current road map, everyone can find it at the link below. However it will be updated soon.
https://docs.raze.network/getting-started/roadmap

Sadia Tasnim:
Mind blowing 🙌

Thank you for that great intro to RAZE NETWORK 🚀 do you want to add something or we can go to the questions from Twitter?😉

Mac | Raze Network:
Let jump into the questions from twitter and then I can add somthing at the end

Sadia Tasnim:
Great! So here comes the first question from twitter.

Q1) There are 3 technical abilities of Raze Network: Mint, Transfer and Redeem. Can you tell us what advantages & privileges will a long term holder of Raze will have when someone Mint, Transfer & Redeem? Tell us more about this 3 technical abilities of Raze Network?

Mac | Raze Network:
Yes, definitely. First thing to note is that the Mint, Transfer and Redeem all come from the Zether Framework.

The mint function allows you to turn your tokens from public tokens into private ones.

The transfer function allows you to send the private tokens from one Raze account to another. This is also where you will be able to interact with other DApps, whether that is funding a trading account or buying an NFT. When you do it through your RAZE account it is all private.

Finally the redeem function allows you to turn your private tokens back into public ones that can be used outside of the raze ecosystem.

Sadia Tasnim:
Q2) One of the advantages of Raze Network is it is Decentralized and Interoperable. Can you tell us more about what is interoperable? What makes Raze Network unique?

Mac | Raze Network:
By Interoperable we mean that as an EVM-Compatible layer-2 middleware we can have deployments on multiple layer-1 networks and integrate with all of the DApps on those networks through our smart contract.

What makes us unique is that layer-2 solution vs being a layer one. We are looking to be the privacy protocol for existing DApps so they dont have to do it themselves. We want to be the plug in play feature for them to give privacy to their users.

Sadia Tasnim:
Q3) I see Raze network has many products such as private transactions, Defi hidden bridge, Anonymity mining and RazdVM integration, do you have to pay any fees to use these products? Or is there some kind of condition that must be met?

Mac | Raze Network:
Any transaction on the Raze application will require the burning of Raze tokens. This makes the raze token deflationary in nature as well as provides the treasury funds to continue the growth of our project.

To go along with the question above, this is one of the benefits of being a long term $RAZE holder. The larger we grown the ecosystem the more tokens will be burned and decrease their supply, ultimately making them more valuable.

Sadia Tasnim:
Q4) Razenet wok having a feature "Secret DeFi Bridge" which users can use to hide their history trading and it is compatible with Uniswap, AAVE, Compound and DeFi ecosystem on Polkadot and Cosmos. How can users activate this service? or every users can enjoy?

Mac | Raze Network:
Every user that has a Raze account will be able to access all the features that we have available. We are currently looking to partner with these project and get them integrated into our application as soon as we have our mainnet running.

Sadia Tasnim:
Q5) How does Raze. Network handle government regulations and boundaries? And What mechanisms / strategies do you use to keep users motivated and present on your platform? What can the Raze Network platform guarantee or promise in terms of the security and privacy of its users?

Mac | Raze Network:
First I want to say that a privacy protocol doesnt mean that we are hiding from the government. What we are trying to do is that while you are inside the raze ecosystem is that your financial transactions will be hidden from surveillance. In the current financial system I can not see into your bank account and you can not see into mine. This necessary for personal security and from peers and from a employee, employer relationship.

As for security of the platform, before every version release we will have our code audited by a trusted party to check for any vulnerabilities.

To keep the Raze users motivated and on the platform we will be increasing our partner ecosystem, so they can do even more. While also bringing new products in a simple to use and easy manner.

Sadia Tasnim:
Nice story! I like that.😅

So that's all for this segment.☺

Again thanks for all those well defined answers.

Mac | Raze Network:
my pleasure

Sadia Tasnim:
I guess now it's time for us to move on to our last segment that's free ask segment !

So that we could satisfy miners deep curiosity about RAZE NETWORK

Mac | Raze Network:
lets do it!

Sadia Tasnim:
Moving on to the last segment.

Live QnA:

(In this segment, group was opened for 60 seconds and miners sent hundreds of questions. Mr. Mac choose the best 5 to answer)

1) Revenue is an important aspect for all projects to survive and maintain the project / company. What is the way to generate profit / revenue of token? What is the income model???

Mac:

The project will earn income from the burning of Raze tokens for every transaction that is done on the Raze platform. Users will essentially have to pay a gas fee for the transaction where a portion of those tokens will be removed from circulation forever, increasing the value of the raze token. And the other portion will go into the Raze vault for our use to expand the project.

2) Do you have communities for the people who don’t know English?, and also which events do you do for them?

Mac:

We do have a few communities that are lead by some of our Raze ambassadors. I highly recommend joining our official channel and reaching out in there if you are interested in join them. We at Raze know that we have a vast amount of member from various backgrounds and we are always trying to help support them and create content for them in anyway that we can.

3) Do you have AUDIT credentials or are you working to AUDIT your project, to make it more secure and reliable?

Mac:

We do have audit credentials! Our initial code and framework was audited. you can check out all of the information at the link below. We are also fixing the bugs on our current Testnet and then will have our full code base audited again before we do our mainnet launch! We highly value the security of our partners and users and are taking all precautions to make sure that our platform is secure.

https://raze-net.medium.com/raze-network-audit-review-c21d0a1ed6c5

4) While you build your project, do you take into account community feedbacks and demands?

Mac:

Yes we do! We are always looking for insights from our community and users to make our product better. We have a very smart community that is always helping us out, we really couldn’t do it with out them. I am always active in the community, answering questions and taking in feedback. I also run polls in the community to see what we should be doing and how to best serve them. Most recently we ran a bug bounty program where they helped spot some issue with our testnet that we missed. So yes always looking for community feedback!

5) About the vision and mission of the Raze Network. What are your targets in 2021? what process is running? Are there any obstacles in doing so?

Mac:

Excellent question. Currently we have released out Testnet and are going through minor frontend bug updates. From here we are looking to do a mainnet launch on Ethereum in Q4. Our code is currently written with an solidity-based smart contract back end which allows us to have that compatibility with BSC and Ethereum. From there we are looking to do a Kusama or Polkadot launch. We will be looking to work with a smart-contract platform that is backwards compatible for solidity to get a lunch as fast as possible. As we grow the ecosystem, user base and product line, we will build our own substrate framework program and move in for that parachain slot.

*This segment ends here*

Sadia Tasnim:
